BERKELEY, CA — A woman who survived the 2015 Berkeley balcony collapse has died, according to an obituary.
Aoife Beary, 27, died from injuries related to the collapse of a fourth-floor balcony that killed six others, her obituary said.
She was among seven injured in the collapse at a party celebrating her 21st birthday.

Five of the six people killed were Irish students who were visiting the United States on temporary work visas, NBC News reports.
Beary was from Blackrock in south Dublin.

She died peacefully Jan. 1 “after a brave battle with her injuries sustained in the Berkeley balcony collapse in California,” her obit said.
“Sadly missed by her loving parents Mike and Angela, her brother Tim, sister Anna, grand aunts, aunts, uncles, cousins and a wide circle of wonderful friends.”
Beary in testimony before state lawmakers urged them to back a bill requiring construction companies to be more tranparant about legal claims they face.
"Now my birthday will always be their anniversary," Beary told The Irish Times.
"My life has been changed forever."
