Berkeley Cyclists Flood I-80: Report
The CHP escorted the cyclists at the Powell Street exit, KTVU reports.
BERKELEY, CA — A group of more than 100 bicyclists were spotted riding on Interstate 80 Sunday afternoon, and it’s not clear why, KTVU reports.
The cyclists are seen in video obtained by the television station riding on the westbound lanes of the freeway near University Avenue.

A California Highway Patrol officer who happened to be around the scene of the incident ran a traffic break to slow motor vehicle traffic, the report said.

Bike East Bay, a bicyclist advocacy group, did not immediately respond to a request from Patch for comment on the incident.
