BERKELEY, CA — Berkeley next week will fly a Ukrainian flag at Civic Center Park, the city’s top elected official said Friday.

The event aims to support of the people of the Eastern European nation under a Russian attack that aims to topple its democratically elected government and imperils a European order that’s stood for more than 70 years.

The gathering will be held at the 9 a.m.
“The @CityofBerkeley will fly the Ukrainian flag 🇺🇦 starting this Monday, 2/28 at 9 am.,” Arreguín wrote on the social media platform.
