Berkeley Tunes Up for World Music Festival Saturday
No matter how esoteric or confined your taste in music may be, it would be hard not to find something you'd like at one of the venues for the 10th annual Berkeley World Music Festival Saturday.

Whether all the world's a stage is true or not, much of Berkeley will be on Saturday when the city hosts the 10th annual Berkeley World Music Festival.
There'll be South African harmonies in the sculpture garden at the Berkeley Art Museum, North Indian flute in Moe's bookstore and a five-hour concert at People's Park featuring an astonishing range from all over the world, including Zydeco, "chaabi" folk music and didgeridoo.
And those represent just a small sampling of the venues and types of music that can be heard from noon to 9 p.m.. A map and performance schedule can be found on the festival website.
The free festival is sponsored by "Amoeba Music, Ashkenaz Music & Dance Community Center, Berkeley Art Museum & Pacific Film Archives, City of Berkeley, East Bay Express, KPFA, People’s Park Office, SF Bay Guardian, SF Chronicle, Telegraph Business Improvement District, UC Office of Community Relations and Telegraph area businesses," according to the festival website.
