Berkeley Suspect Stalked Female College Students: Cops
Sean Ramrattan, 26, told responding officers the "University area was full of women who want him," police said.

BERKELEY, CA — A Berkeley stalking suspect was arrested has been arrested in connection with multiple incidents going back to September, police said.
Sean Ramrattan, a 26-year-old man with no known address, was arrested Feb. 2 and charged two days later with three counts of stalking with criminal enhancements, BPD Officer Byron White said.

three female UC Berkeley students were walking home at around 2 a.m. on Jan. 29 in the Ridge Road/Euclid Avenue area when they noticed a gray Honda following them, police said, noting the women saw the car drive past them several times and noticed the car make U-turns and drive around the block in order to keep following them.
The women were concerned about their safety and ran home and could see the gray Honda parked in front of their home and remained there for 1 to 2 hours, police said.

The women called police after seeing the same car circling their block two days later, police said.
Arriving officers during an encounter with the suspect he “made several peculiar comments about how the University area was full of women who want him,” police said.
The officers reported the case to detectives, who learned of similar reported incidents.
- On September 20th 2021, a woman in Oakland reported that she had been followed by the same car—where the suspect made several obscene comments to the woman before leaving.
- On September 21st 2021, a woman in Oakland reported being followed by the suspect for 2 ½ miles. When the woman reached her destination, the suspect confronted the woman, told her he wanted sex, and grabbed her breasts.
- Between January 21st and February 1st, several women at UC Berkeley reported feeling uncomfortable during several incidents where suspect either got too close to them, flirted with them or inquired about their specific whereabouts.
“We would like to thank the UC Berkeley Police Department and the Oakland Police Department for their assistance with this investigation,” police said in a statement.
“Although an arrest has been made in this case, we believe there may be other victims as well.”
