Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) Tour

Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) is kicking off Breast Cancer Prevention Month this October with the Second Annual Check One, Two Campus Tour from Oct. 4 to Nov. 4. The B4BC RV comes to Berkeley Oct. 7 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Volcom store on Telegraph Avenue.

The tour will make stops at 17 campuses and organize community events at local shops, skate parks, surf breaks and music venues, providing educational information as well as prizes from Tour supporters Tilly's, Volcom, and Jones Soda Co.

“We can’t think of a better way to kick off National Breast Cancer Prevention Month than with our future generation,” said Erika Seward, director of development for B4BC. “Last year’s campus tour launch was met with a phenomenal response from a captive audience of students eager to engage and learn. We are thankful to be embraced by these student groups and local communities. With the help of all of our friends, we look forward to expanding our educational outreach and program initiatives this Fall and year-round.”

The scary truth is that breast cancer is no longer the older woman disease. It effects young and old, men and women. Check out www.b4bc.org for personal stories and more information about how we're spreading the word on prevention.

In addition to being at your campuses, the B4BC team will also team up with local restaurants, surf stores and skate parks to host events, raffle prizes and more, while educating and spreading the word about healthy and active living as one of the best means of prevention. We will also teach how to give self-examinations!
