Crash On I-80 Freeway Causing Significant Delays: Traffic Officials

EMERYVILLE, CA — Drivers traveling through the westbound I-80 freeway in Emeryville should expect delays after a vehicle overturned during a crash Monday morning, according to traffic officials.

Traffic officials at 511 SF Bay say the crash appears to have happened sometime after 9 a.m. just west of Powell Street in Emeryville. It's unclear how the collision occurred, but it appears nobody was injured.

The left lanes are currently blocked, and motorists are being advised to use alternate routes to avoid the area as delays are expected, officials said. Drivers using the freeway should expect delays of up to 30 minutes, according to SigAlert.

There is currently no estimate available for when the lanes are expected to reopen.
