Man Sought in Sexual Battery of UC Berkeley Student

BREAKING: Police said the man walked toward Dwinelle Plaza after the incident.

BERKELEY, CA — Police are looking for a suspect who inappropriately touched a woman Wednesday on the University of California at Berkeley campus. The victim, a student, was walking through Upper Sproul Plaza at 11:50 a.m. when a man touched her. The woman was not injured, according to police.

The man is described as white, 50 to 60 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall and clean-shaven. He was wearing dark-framed sunglasses, a dark gray collared shirt and cargo pants, police said.

The man walked toward Dwinelle Plaza after the incident. Officers searched the plaza and surrounding area but did not find the man.
