New Leaders Head Back To School In Berkeley
The Berkeley Unified School District has several new leaders this 2025-2026 school year.
BERKELEY, CA — The Berkeley Unified School District announced its new leaders for the 2025-2026 school year Tuesday. Some are new to the school district, while others had previously worked for the district in other roles.
New principals at Berkeley Unified schools include Rachel Porzig at Cragmont Elementary School; Holen Robie at Rosa Parks Elementary School; Vincent Toan at Berkeley Technology Academy & Berkeley Independent Study; and Laurie Clark at Willard Middle School.
There are also several new vice principals at Berkeley Unified schools, namely Ruby Ortega at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School (7th grade vice principal); Yorda Weldeghiorgis at Berkeley High School; Eric Husted at Berkeley High School; Andrea Ambrose at Longfellow Middle School; Jessica Mould, Vice Principal, Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School (8th grade vice principal); and Yusef Auletta, at Malcolm X Elementary School.

Berkeley Unified's new Director of Human Resources is Alex Billotte, a former principal at Willard Middle School; its new Special Education Program Supervisor is Alice Whitt, who was an assistant principal at Petaluma High School.
