On view through June 2027, the piece is easily accessible to Berkeley residents, with free admission for UC Berkeley affiliates and everyone on first Thursdays, encouraging locals to experience this immersive, rule-breaking painting environment.

2. Idaho women's basketball drops well-matched game at Cal (spokesman.com) — A tightly contested women’s basketball game at Haas Pavilion in Berkeley saw Idaho briefly lead in every quarter before Cal’s late 8-0 run sealed a 68–61 win. For local fans, it was a strong home showing by the Golden Bears, highlighted by Gisella Maul’s 15 points and a sharp 45.5% team shooting performance.

3. USDA announces $700M regenerative agriculture pilot program (spectrumnews1.com) — A new $700 million USDA pilot program will help farmers nationwide shift toward regenerative agriculture, a movement long championed from Berkeley’s own Chez Panisse. 5. A Scientific Pipeline to the Nobel Prize Fueled by Immigrants (nytimes.com) — A UC Berkeley chemistry professor, Omar Yaghi, is receiving a Nobel Prize for pioneering porous materials that can even pull drinking water from desert air.
