UC Berkeley Alum Takes Executive Role At Leading Tech Firm

GoDaddy on Monday announced that Roger Chen had been named the web hosting company's new Chief Operating Officer.

BERKELEY, CA — A UC Berkeley graduate has been named to a top executive role at a leading tech firm.

GoDaddy on Monday announced that Roger Chen had been named the web hosting company’s new Chief Operating Officer.

Chen, who graduated from Cal with degrees in computer science and economics, started out at GoDaddy as Vice President of Asia operations in 2015 before becoming the company’s domain registrars and investors business president.

"Roger has a proven track record of leadership, execution and operational excellence as demonstrated by his most recent successful tenure as President of our Domain Registrars and Investors business," GoDaddy CEO Aman Bhutani said in a statement.
