Wanted Berkeley Assault Suspected Arrested

The suspect was sought in connection with two unprovoked attacks. A tip from the public led to his arrest.

BERKELEY, CA — A tip from the public led to the arrest of a wanted Berkeley assault suspect in connection with two unprovoked attacks, UC Police said.

The suspect, identified by authorities as an adult male, is accused of a “push to the back” in the most recent assault, which occurred Tuesday at around 6:45 p.m. on the south side of Haas School of Business, police said.

Police posted a photo of the suspect Tuesday night in an alert distributed to the public.

“Tip Leads to Arrest,” the agency tweeted Wednesday.

“Thanks to a community member’s vigilance, Officers located and arrested the alleged suspect (Adult Male, no affiliation), on @UCBerkeley campus.”
