WATCH: Local Weatherman Reacts To East Bay Earthquake While On Air
The 4.0 earthquake hit the East Bay area on Monday morning.

Steve Paulson was doing a routine weather hit Monday morning on KTVU in Oakland when an earthquake hit.

At 6:49 a.m. local time, a magnitude earthquake hit the East Bay. It originated north of Piedmont and 3 miles southeast of Berkeley, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
