Hanukkah Display Vandalized With Hate Symbol In Beverly Hills

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — A Beverly Hills resident's menorah display was vandalized with a hate symbol on Sunday, the first day of Hanukkah.

Eric Brian King, of Dallas, Texas, was taken into police custody and charged with felony vandalism and a hate crime, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department.

Around 8 p.m. Sunday, King carved Nazi symbols into the menorah display and threw objects at the menorah, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department.

"What this despicable 'human being' needs to know is that OUR light will only shine BRIGHTER! Hate will NEVER win over light," Mayor Lili Bosse said in a Tweet.

Police continued to investigate Monday.
