New Steakhouse to Take Over El Torito Space on Wilshire Boulevard
Ocean Prime will arrive in the spring of next year, according to a release from the company.

Old-school Mexican will make way for surf and turf at 9595 Wilshire Blvd.
In a release, Ocean Prime said it will open its eleventh "modern American supper club" in the space that housed retro-Mexicano El Torito Grill for many years. The opening is slated for Spring 2014.

According to the release, the 11,400 square-foot restaurant will include a "sprawling terrace, lounge and piano bar," with seating for 350 and special dining areas. A piano bar and handcrafted cocktails will also be part of the "captivating atmosphere" promised by Ocean Prime.
Manhattan-based ICRAVE will design the interior. Eater LA says that early reports had Javier's, a Mexican food chain from Orange County moving in, but apparently those negotiations fell through.

The arrival of Ocean Prime would give Beverly Hills at least four steakhouses, including Mastro's, the Grill on the Alley and Fleming's.
