• Ex-Beverly Hills Pawnshop Owner Sentenced In Stolen Warhol Case (patch.com) — Residents following local crime will note that a former Beverly Hills pawnshop owner received a community service sentence for lying to the FBI about a stolen Andy Warhol print. Prosecutors say the artwork, worth about $170,000, was funneled through a Beverly Hills auction house office after being taken from a Los Angeles County home, before the gallery that originally sold it helped the FBI recover it.

• Online Casino Visibility Trends Within Beverly Hills Local News (canyon-news.com) — Beverly Hills readers aren’t seeing much coverage of online casinos or sweepstakes gambling in their main local outlets, even after California’s recent ban on sweepstakes casinos took effect. The piece explains how statewide gaming debates and new technologies largely bypass Beverly Hills-focused news, which continues to emphasize development, luxury hospitality, and cultural events instead.
