Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Home Targeted By Bomb Threat: Report

Authorities responded to the actor's Brentwood mansion on Thanksgiving Day after receiving the threat, reports said.

BRENTWOOD, CA — Los Angeles police responded to actor and former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s home on Thanksgiving Day after receiving a call that a bomb had been placed in the mailbox, according to multiple reports.

When contacted by the Los Angeles Times, a police spokesperson said officers received a call around 10:30 a.m. Thursday about a suspicious package at a home in the same block of the Brentwood neighborhood where Schwarzenegger lived.

The spokesperson would not confirm that officers responded to the movie star's residence.

The threat was first reported by TMZ, which called it a swatting incident. Swatting is a form of criminal harassment that falsely threatens and victim and prompts a law enforcement response.

According to reports, Schwarzenegger was at the gym when the incident occurred.

Police searched the former governor's home and the surrounding area, but did not find any explosives, authorities told TMZ.
