Four Burlingame Schools Receive Wells Fargo Funds
Four schools in Burlingame were presented with $1,000 each from Wells Fargo.
Wells Fargo presented four Burlingame schools with $1,000 checks Wednesday as part of $1 million the company allocated to education funding in the Bay Area.
, , and received Wells Fargo funds.
Wells Fargo managers in the community decide which schools received the money.

“A lot of [the managers] are involved in different organizations and schools, so they kind of build relationships with them,” said Ruben Pulido of Wells Fargo. “We let them decide which schools they wanted to give the money to.”
The checks were just four of 79 $1,000 grants given throughout the Bay Area. Since 2009, Wells Fargo has donated more than $13.3 million towards education in the Bay Area.

“In addition to the countless hours that our team members spend volunteering in local schools, we are glad to provide funding directly to school principals throughout our region,” said Mike Billeci, executive vice president and president of Wells Fargo’s San Francisco Bay region in a statement. “Whether they need laptops, chalkboards, rulers or globes, teachers understand their needs best and can direct resources to their schools’ priorities.”
