Police Blotter: Referee Threatened and Missing Halloween Decorations

Saturday, Oct. 8

3:56 p.m. A person on the 400 block of Benito Avenue was working on the radio on his boat. It was too loud and causing a disturbance.

5:05 p.m. An animal was on the loose at Broadway and California Drive.

11:28 p.m. A cab driver on the 1100 block of Airport Boulevard wanted a passenger who threw up in the taxi to pay a fee. Both sides reached an agreement.

Sunday, Oct. 9

4:51 a.m. An unwanted subject was sleeping in an elevator on the 1600 block of Bayshore Highway.

7:58 a.m. A daughter on the 1100 block of Vancouver Avenue asked police to contact her father after the phone went dead while she was talking to him and she was unable to reconnect with him. He was fine and his phone battery had just died.

5:01 p.m. Parents were threatening a referee during a soccer game on the 200 block of Anza Boulevard.

Monday, Oct. 10

3:33 a.m. There was a report of possible theft of halloween decorations on the 100 block of Victoria Road.

7:20 a.m. A red marking pencil had been used to draw graffitti on a vehicle on the 1000 block of Burlingame Avenue.

9:45 a.m. There was a report of a man talking to himself loudly on the 1000 block of Burlingame Avenue. He turned out to be on his cell phone and said he would keep it down.

Tuesday, Oct. 11

11:13 a.m. There was a report of a resident on the 1400 block of Floribunda Avenue receiving harassing phone calls from a caller claiming to be with the U.S. government. 

1:28 p.m. There was a report of a missing 15-year-old from the 1800 block of Ogden Drive. The child turned out to be in school.

6:42 p.m. There was a report of a dog inside a parked car on the 1100 block of Trousdale Drive. The car was in shaded, underground parking and the dog had a bed and water and did not appear to be distressed.
