Police Blotter: Scary Clown and Broken Windows

Saturday, Oct. 15

2:00 a.m. Loud noise was reported on the 0 block of Highland Avenue. Subjects were talking loudly and were advised to keep in down.

2:18 p.m. A juvenile broke four windows on the 800 block of Bayswater when he threw rocks because he was angry at his father because his sleepover was cancelled. The child was counseled and the father said he would repair the windows.

9:55 p.m. A resident on the 1100 block of Drake Avenue reported a subject dressed as a scary clown at the front door. The clown turned out to be a toy and was possibly placed there by a neighbor.

11:36 p.m. Subjects were playing pool inside a house under construction on the 1200 block of Cabrillo Avenue.

Sunday, Oct. 16

12:03 a.m. A subject was sitting in his car smoking a cigar on the 0 block of Bay View Place. He was advised he was on private property and sent away.

9:38 a.m. A car was egged overnight on the 1400 block of DeSoto Avenue.

2:16 p.m. A lost dog was found and returned to its owner.

Monday, Oct. 17

1:31 a.m. A caller reported hearing someone downstairs in a business on the 800 block of Hinckley Road. Police located no one and the building was secure.

10:19 a.m. A caller reported a racoon had walked into her store on the 1200 block of Burlingame Avenue. Animal control was called.

4:53 p.m. A caller reported a very slow driver at Rollins Road and Winchester Drive. The police were unable to locate the driver.

10:40 p.m. There was a report of loud talking at a coffee shop on the 1100 block of Burlingame Avenue. The police found no unusual volume and no action was taken.

Tuesday, Oct. 18

12:03 a.m. A car was found with its trunk open on the 1100 block of Howard Avenue with numerous items inside the trunk.

6:54 p.m. An 8-year-old boy was acting up and called 911. The police advised him of the correct usage of 911.

10:10 p.m. A caller reported that a female was placing unknown objects in the caller's yard on the 1000 block of Toyon Drive. No objects were found.
