Week Ahead: Elections and Veterans Day
Take a look ahead at what's going on in Burlingame this week.

What's on tap for this week? Keep an eye out for these events and stories this week. We'll be there to cover them.
- The Burlingame City Council meets Monday at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers. Immediately following the meeting, the Burlingame Financing Authority will meet. Former mayor Rosalie O’Mahony will be honored with the Burlingame Community Recognition Award.
- On Tuesday, author Marty Brownstein will discuss his book Two Among the Righteous Few: A Story of Courage in the Holocaust. The event is presented by the Burlingame Library Foundation and the Burlingame Public Library and takes place at 7 p.m. in the Lane Community Room.
- Tuesday is election day. Don’t forget to vote!
- The Burlingame Elementary School District Board of Trustees meets Tuesday at 7 p.m.
- On Wednesday, there will be a nationwide emergency alert test at 11 a.m. Residents watching television or listening to the radio with here the alert.
- The Burlingame Library will hold its Career Support Group at 1:30 p.m. in the Lane Community Room Wednesday.
- The Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee meets Thursday at 6 p.m. followed by the Traffic Safety & Parking Commission in City Hall Conference.
- Friday is Veterans Day. All City offices are closed.
