CALABASAS, CA — The city has hired a new public works director, a civil engineer with 20 years of experience in the public sector.

Curtis Castle will begin work on Nov. 27 leading the city's public infrastructure efforts. He succeeds Robert Yalda, who retired in May after 29 years on the job.

“We are fortunate to have Curtis join the team as the next public works director,” City Manager Kindon Meik said in a release. “His experience and leadership will greatly benefit the city and I am confident that Curtis will integrate well with the Calabasas community.”
