Power Outage Affects Hundreds Of Calabasas Residents

Hundreds of Calabasas residents lost power Wednesday, according to Southern California Edison.

CALABASAS, CA — Well over 500 Calabasas residents lost power Wednesday afternoon, according to Southern California Edison.

Power was reported out for 577 Calabasas residents around 11:35 a.m. Wednesday, according to SCE. The city of Calabasas estimated the number was closer to 700 just after 12 p.m. on the west side of the city.

The outage was reported near Monte Nido. SCE had not immediately determined the cause of the outage.

SCE initially estimated power would be mostly restored by 1 p.m. The city of Calabasas reported some parts of town, including De Anza Park, had their power restored just before 1 p.m. Power was completely restored by Thursday evening, according to SCE.

A separate scheduled outage affecting four SCE customers in Hidden Hills was scheduled to end around 2 p.m.
