Los Angeles Music Exec Killed In Florida Condo Collapse

A Live Nation executive was visiting her parents when the Champlain Towers South condo​ collapsed, killing all of them.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A Los Angeles music executive was killed by the collapses of a 12-story Florida condominium last month while visiting her parents.

Authorities on Monday confirmed that Theresa Velasquez, 36, died along with her parents and at least 95 others in the June 24 collapse of the Champlain Towers South condo.

Velasquez, an executive for Live Nation, had flown into Miami hours before the building collapsed, the Miami-Dade Police Department confirmed.

She was the 95th fatality identified in the collapse, police said.

"Theresa was an impassioned leader at Live Nation, who elevated every project she was part of, at the same time breaking down barriers for women, and the LGBTQIA+ community," the entertainment company said in a statement. "We will always remember and honor the impact she made, and will miss her dearly."

The bodies of Julio and Angela Velasquez were recovered and identified previously.
