The watch was originally set to take effect at noon Wednesday, but the NWS pushed it back due to changes in the forecasted humidity levels, which are now not expected to drop to a critical range until early Thursday morning.

Southern California Edison has warned that it could shut off power to a section of Calabasas to reduce the risk of its equipment causing a fire. Several hillside and mountain areas could be impacted. Among them are a long corridor around Mulholland Highway, including Calabasas High School, and a portion of Las Virgenes Road south of the 101 Freeway.
