1 Killed In Multi-Vehicle Crash On Highway 101 In San Jose

All lanes of southbound U.S. 101 were temporarily blocked in the area for an investigation, according to the CHP.

SAN JOSE, CA — At least one person is dead in the wake of a multi-vehicle crash on southbound U.S. 101 just south of North Mathilda Avenue in San Jose early Sunday, the California Highway Patrol confirmed.

The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, and all lanes of southbound U.S. 101 were temporarily blocked in the area for an investigation, CHP Officer Ross Lee said Sunday afternoon.

All lanes reopened around 4:55 a.m., Lee said.
