2-alarm Fire Contained In Vacant Building: San Jose Fire

The blaze was initially reported at 12:06 a.m. on Safari Drive in south San Jose.

SAN JOSE, CA — Fire crews contained a two-alarm blaze at a home on the city's south side early Wednesday morning, according to fire officials.

The blaze was first reported at 12:06 a.m. at the home located at 451 Safari Dr., San Jose Fire Department Capt. Mitch Matlow said. The home was not occupied.

No firefighters were injured in the blaze contained at 12:35 a.m., according to Matlow, as the fire is under investigation. Crews stayed at the scene for around an hour after containment for mop-up.
