7 Displaced, Pets Rescued From Fourplex Fire In San Jose
Crews arrived and took a sweep of the building in which they rescued two dogs and a cat, the department said.
SAN JOSE, CA —A fire in a San Jose apartment building Sunday evening displaced seven people and their pets, according to the department.
The fire department got the call at 7:20 p.m. about a fire in one unit of a fourplex in the 800 block of East Julian Street.
Crews arrived and took a sweep of the building in which they rescued two dogs and a cat, the department said.

By 8:50 p.m. the fire was under control, with one unit with smoke and fire damage and the rest with smoke damage.
The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
