8th Suspect Arrested In San Jose Jewelry Store Robbery
The violent smash-and-grab robbery injured an elderly man last month, police said.
SAN JOSE, CA — An eighth suspect has been arrested in connection with a violent smash-and-grab robbery at a San Jose jewelry store that injured an elderly man last month, police said.
San Jose police said 19-year-old Julian Gacutan of South San Francisco was arrested Oct. 3 in Oakland with help from the San Ramon Police Department.
He was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on robbery-related offenses.

The Sept. 5 robbery at Kim Hung Jewelry on the 1900 block of Aborn Road reportedly involved more than 10 suspects who rammed a vehicle into the storefront, assaulted one victim, and held another at gunpoint before stealing thousands of dollars' worth of jewelry, according to police.
Seven other suspects, identified as Angel Herrera, Toddisha Mayfield, Zakhari Blue-Gordon, Tom Donegan, Jacques Samuel, Cisco Lutu, and Amari Green, were previously arrested under suspicion of robbery, San Jose Police Department said.

"I said it before and I'll say it again: hiding behind a mask in a crowd of thugs will not shield you from accountability," said SJPD Assistant Chief of Police Brian Shab.
