This bridge was built well before the Orchard City became officially the city of Campbell.
A perfect bridge between the past and the present is embodied in this true piece of local history.
According to the plaque found below, this original 1940 bridge railing along E. Campbell Avenue above the Los Gatos Creek was constructed under the Works Progress Administration.
Twelve years later, Campbell was officially incorporated as a city in 1952.
