Campbell Police Dept. Offers Reminders for Dealing with Hazardous Weather
The Campbell Police Department has some helpful reminders to ensure that you and your family are prepared for flooding and other hazards.

Rain is in the forecast for the next several days, and the Campbell Police Department would like to provide some helpful reminders to ensure you and your families are prepared for potential flooding and other hazards.
Got sandbags?
If your home is at risk of flooding, you may obtain sandbags at our Public Works Service Center and fill them onsite. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7 am to 3 pm. Please remember to bring something such as a can or shovel to scoop the sand, and dress appropriately. The Public Works Service Center is located at 290 Dillon Avenue. For flood safety tips from the Santa Clara Valley Water District and to find other sandbag locations, call (408) 265-2600 or visit http://bit.ly/1I1G88Q. Residents and businesses are limited to 25 sand bags each.
We need your help. If you are aware of any storm drains near your home that are clogged with debris, please help us out by clearing them in the event we are not able to reach the location right away. Public Works Maintenance may be reached Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3 pm at (408) 866-2145.

Power up.
Are you adequately prepared for a power outage? If you don’t own a generator, be sure your mobile phones are charged in case of emergency and you have flashlights on hand with a supply of extra batteries. Contact PG&E for up-to-date information on power outages in your area: (800) 743-5000.

Exercise caution when driving in the rain and avoid driving through standing water. Be sure to check local traffic reports for highway and road closures. Visit the California Highway Patrol website at https://www.chp.ca.gov/traffic or Caltrans website at http://www.dot.ca.gov/cgi-bin/roads.cgi.
Check the weather.
Visit the National Weather Service website http://www.weather.gov/for the most accurate weather conditions.
