Campbell Shooting: After Heartbreak, Anger Sets In

This story is heartbreaking and everyone is most likely exhausted from the shock and sadness of such a horrible incident. Now the anger is setting in, I know it has for us.

I've come to the conclusion it was random, and that scares the hell out of me. I just walked that intersection and thought, there couldn't be anything more cowardly than a drive-by shooting. It's pretty dark on Latimer at 10:00pm, and whomever made that drive-by couldn't see/know who they were shooting. That poor kid was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

It's my assumption that the victim could have been anybody just out walking near the backside of the community center that night ... I don't believe that kid was targeted. It was probably some stupid gang initiation type BS, and I pray to god some surrounding video camera caught a glimpse of that car. I pray that Campbell PD can catch those coward bastards and that the family of that young man can find peace through justice ... eventually, I hope.

If you hear anything more, we'll be watching Patch.
