Campbell's Tiny Tots Matches New Families with Resources
Family event on Saturday, Sept. 17 offers new parents with a chance to meet and greet with local businesses and nonprofits.

It's hard being a new parent. Life changes, priorities are rearranged and schedules are in shambles.

"New moms, new parents, they need help," says Macy Otake, events specialist for Tiny Tots. "What we are trying to do is bring resources for young families and new parents."

This Saturday, Sept. 17 Tiny Tots is hosting "Family Day: Healthy Kids and Families," an all day free event with vendors and non profit organizations and services for the parent, and even free skateboarding lessons for the kiddies.
"Tiny Tots have been in Campbell since the 1960s and is still under the same ownership and family," Otake says. "We always do community work and this is our third year doing this."

The event begins at 9:00 a.m. with a free car seat inspection. Also planned are workshops, health & children experts and door prizes.
The event is co-hosted by Tiny Tots, Safe Kids and Dr. Jessie Young D.C., and is being sponsored by the Ohana Board Shop, who will be providing the free skateboarding lessons for children 2 1/2 years and up in one of the business' parking lots.
If visitors pre-register by Sept 16, they will receive a $10 gift certificate from Tiny Tots on the day of event that they can use in the store, no purchase necessary.
For those who have already registered, if one of the first 50 to arrive, they will also receive a free gift from Boon.
What the day will look like:
- 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m--Free car seat inspections. Please RSVP at 1-408-866-2925. Location is S. 1st at Rincon.
- 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.--Food Allergy & Intolerance Workshop. Presented by Dr. Jessie L. Young D.C.
- 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.--Four Free Health Screenings by: A Chiropractor - Dr. Jessie Young D.C.; an Optometrist - Dr. Jenifer Webb OD; a Registered Dietitian - Stephanie Brooks MS, RD; and a dentist. (You are eligible to win an organic Ergo carrier just by visiting each of our four health specialists, all of whom are experienced in helping both adults and children.)
- 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.--Visit with more than 20 Vendors and Services including:Safe Kids USA, Diaper Free Moms Group, Itty Bitty Imprints, M.O.M.S. of Campbell, Mission College's Children, Birth & Infant Program and Baby Infant Massage.
