Downtown Campbell Sidewalk Sale Returns for Second Saturdays

The popular event happens three weekends a year, including March 9 and 10 from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

 

This weekend will see a whole lot of everything.

Combining the Second Saturday festivities with the popular Downtown Campbell Sidewalk Sale, visitors will find lots to see, do and buy March 9 and 10.

"Second Saturdays are like Art Walk and First Fridays all rolled into one," says Simply Smashing! owner and organizer Deb Rohzen. 

The afternoon event takes place on March 9 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. and includes 16 artists and four musical acts, including The MaryEllen Duo, This Is Embarassing, Bernard Smith and Dhimant Patel.

Also taking place Saturday and continuing on Sunday is the downtown Campbell sidewalk sale.

"It's the Paris Flea Market meets Old Town Bazaar," Rohzen says.

The first of three annual downtown Campbell Sidewalk Sales takes place March 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and March 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

The four-block event will have various tables and sales racks set up outside each of the participating business' location.

Here are just a few of the "flea market sales" taking place this weekend:

Simply Smashing! will have "My Secret Closet" a "Cash & Carry" business selling new and pre-loved clothing and accessories out under the overhang.

The local boutique will also be carrying the Campbell Water Tower T-shirt in red, this weekend only for $15.

Former Campbell business owner and photographer Dana Smith shot the image on the shirts, titled "Campbell Water Tower, Winter Dusk." The shirts, only available at Simply Smashing! also come in white women's Tees, men's Tees and Henleys and tote bags.

Bombshell Boutique will have their "Cash & Carry" racks out in the courtyard, a "buy one, get one half off" sale on scarves as well as brand new shipment of items inside.

Bela La Vie will have a table set out in the courtyard "full of goodies and sales."

Stripes Children's Boutique will be hosting several local makers of baby and children's items, including bows and clips from Snibbles & Bits Blog on Sunday from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. 

Sonoma Chicken Coop is offering a $3.99 breakfast Saturday and Sunday.

Khartoum near Railway is offering $2 mimosas or champagne, 1/2 off any drink with Downtown Campbell merchant receipt.

Boswells at The Pruneyard is offering no cover charge with any receipt from a Downtown Campbell merchant.

And don't forget to hit the ATM before heading out.

"Come down and find a great deal," Rohzen says.
