Fatal South Bay Crash Probed

The crash happened at around 11:45 p.m. Friday, police said.

SAN JOSE, CA — One person was killed late Friday in a South Bay traffic collision, San Jose police said.

The victim, the male driver of the 2004 Honda sedan involved in the solo crash, is the 40th fatal traffic accident victim this year in the South Bay city’s 38th fatal crash of 2022, police said.

The crash happened at around 11:45 p.m., police said.

The Honda was traveling westbound on Aborn Road in the number three lane, when it left the roadway and struck a light pole, police said.

The driver was declared deceased at the scene.
