Fatal South Bay Hit-And-Run Probed
Sunday night's crash left a pedestrian dead, according to police
CAMPBELL, CA — A pedestrian is dead following a collision with a van late Sunday night in San Jose, police said Monday.
Officers responded at 11:13 p.m. to Story Road and Kollmar Drive to investigate a collision between a person and a vehicle.
Police said a dark-colored minivan was traveling east on Story Road when it struck a man standing in the road. The man was not in a crosswalk, according to police.

The victim suffered major injuries and died where officers found him, police said. The driver of the van drove away and has not been identified or located, according to police.
The victim is the 23rd pedestrian to die on San Jose roads this year, police said.
