Fatal South Bay Shooting Probed
The motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation, police said.
SAN JOSÉ, CA — An early Sunday morning South Bay shooting is being investigated as a homicide, San José police said.
The adult male victim was pronounced dead at the dead at the scene after officers responded to a 3:55 a.m. report of gunshots fired in the 300 block of Umbarger Road, police said.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation, police said.

This is the San José's 24th homicide of 2022.
