Fire Out On NB SR-87 Near New I-880 Crash
The small fire on SR-87 was put out, only to be replaced by a I880 NB crash delaying traffic south of First St, CHP reports.
SAN JOSE, CA -- A smoky small fire reported at 8:04 a.m. Wednesday off State Route 87 blocking the center divider at the busy Almaden Expressway turnoff was extinguished. But traffic delays have not subsided in the San Jose area due to a crash on northbound Interstate 880 south of First Street, the California Highway Patrol announced.
Adding to the slow going, other traffic delays can be found on Interstate 280 on the northbound side of another busy San Jose turnoff - Guadalupe Parkway. The right shoulder is blocked.
