Man Killed On San Jose Connector Ramp Is Identified
The man was killed when struck Thursday by a car on the connector ramp from southbound state Highway 87 to northbound state Highway 85.

SAN JOSE - A 29-year-old man who died Thursday evening on a highway connector ramp in San Jose has been identified as Tyler Anderson, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office.
Anderson, a resident of Kingsburg in Fresno County, was killed when he was struck by a car on the connector ramp from southbound state Highway 87 to northbound state Highway 85, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Around 7:10 p.m., the CHP received multiple reports of a crash on the ramp.

The driver of a 2007 Porsche was on the ramp when he saw Anderson at the center median.
Anderson allegedly ran across lanes before the Porsche struck him, CHP officials said.

Emergency crews responded and pronounced Anderson dead at the scene. CHP officers closed the connector ramp for more than two hours as they investigated.
The driver, a 45-year-old San Jose man, was not injured and cooperated with investigators, according to the CHP.
Investigators do not suspect drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
