Motorcyclist Killed In San Tomas Expressway Crash Identified
BREAKING: The motorcyclist passed away Santa Clara Valley Medical Center about an hour after the collision Wednesday night, authorities say.

SANTA CLARA VALLEY, CA — A 31-year-old San Jose man was killed in a traffic collision on Wednesday evening on the San Tomas Expressway in Santa Clara, according to the California Highway Patrol. The man, identified by the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office as Harbrinder Singh, was riding a 2012 Triumph motorcycle between the No. 3 and No. 4 lanes north on the expressway around 5:25 p.m. Wednesday, according to the CHP.
As Singh approached Scott Boulevard, another man driving a 2005 Toyota minivan entered the intersection at either a yellow or red light and the motorcycle collided with the front end of the minivan.
Singh was transported to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 6:20 p.m., CHP officials said.

A portion of the intersection was closed for around three hours and the driver of the minivan stayed on scene and cooperated with investigators, according to the CHP.
