Motorcyclist Killed In South Bay Crash
The victim's identity has not yet been released.
SAN JOSE, CA — A motorcyclist was killed Thursday morning in a South Bay crash that involved another vehicle, San José police said.
Officers at around 8:05 a.m. responded to the area of Curtner Avenue and Briarwood Drive to investigate a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle, police said.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released.

A preliminary report determined a 2009 Toyota sedan driven was making a left turn from northbound Briarwood Drive onto westbound Curtner Avenue when sedan vehicle collided with the motorcycle, which was traveling eastbound on Curtner Avenue in the No. 2 lane, police said.
The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
This is San José ' 40th fatal collision of 2022 and the 42nd traffic death of this year.
