OKCupid Shot These Two Through the Heart
We share the love stories that residents shared with us for a romantic weekend.

Campbell Patch's "Share Your Love" contest received such great sumbissions that we decided to share those stories all weekend-long.
Our next story comes from Sinead.
Here is her story.

I'm from Ireland, he is from North Carolina. We met through OKCupid while we were both in Campbell, only two miles away from each other but never would have met.
We met for our first blind date at Katie Blooms in Campbell and he arranged for a Tuesday night in case it wasn't a good date, something I still tease him on. We ended up talking to 2:00 a.m., closing the bar with the staff and we became engaged 11 months later on top of Mount Hamilton at music of the spheres. (He was actually going to propose earlier that week but I had swallowed a piece of yogurt carton and ended up in ER him holding my head and me, none the wiser that he had his grandmothers wedding band in his pocket ready to propose).

We got married in Ireland with a Viking tower in the background. We were married in the new church (400 years old) and 48 friends came over from the states for the wedding. Which shows you that its always good to get married later in your 30's as your friends can come as a destination wedding.
Being the geeks we are, we went from here to Ireland, back to here for one night and then over to New Zealand for our honeymoon for Lord of The Rings tours. That's six years ago now in March and we have two beautiful wee boys and we love to still bring the boys to the music in the park series, and the Farmers Market.
For Valentine's Day we will be heading to Katies where we first met and have a pint, but not staying to 2:00 a.m. any more. We don't need to now that we have each other.
