Passenger Jumps From Car Traveling 65mph, Injured On I880
CHP reports that a passenger jumped from a vehicle driven by her father at 65 mph on I880 for an unknown reason and taken to a hospital.

SAN JOSE, CA -- A 19-year-old passenger in a 2004 Toyota Corolla was injured when she jumped from the vehicle traveling 65 mph in the fast lane of Interstate 880 Saturday afternoon.
The call that came in at 12:55 p.m. indicated her father, 54, was driving the car heading southbound north of Montague Expressway at the high rate of speed with his daughter sitting in the right front seat.
For an unknown reason, the passenger took off her seatbelt and jumped out of the vehicle. The driver attempted to grab her and brake but was not able to stop her and only slowed to about 60 mph.

The passenger received cuts to a large part of her body when she hit the pavement. She was transported to Valley Medical Center for her injuries and a psychological evaluation.
