Relaxation Aid Becomes Flaming Horror when Neck Warmer Burns

Small microwave fire is extinguished before department arrives.

The weekend was a busy one for Santa Clara County Fire Department.

On Friday, three engines were dispatched to Railway Avenue. When they arrived at 9:41 a.m., the fire was already extinguished. The whole incident took about four minutes for the department to clear.

There was about $500 reported in damages with this incident.

The cause of the fire? A fire spokeswoman says a neck warmer had caught on fire in a microwave.
