San Jose Man Arrested, Accused Of Stabbing Murder
Marking the 6th homicide of the year for the city, Saturday's incident occurred at a Monterey Rd. motel the suspect shared with the victim.

SAN JOSE, CA -- A San Jose man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of stabbing to death another man identified as 59-year-old San Jose resident Adam Guerrero, who lived in the same motel.
The incident, which marks San Jose's sixth homicide of 2019, came about when at 6:37 p.m. police officers responded to a call of a stabbing at the Palm Tree Motel located at 2724 Monterey Rd. in San Jose. Arriving officers located an adult male victim suffering from at least one stab wound. Guerrero was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect identified as Robert Martinez, 47, and the unidentified victim lived there in separate rooms. The victim was allegedly visiting Martinez's room when the suspect attacked the victim and fled the scene. Responding officers located Martinez nearby and booked him into Santa Clara County Jail on murder charges.
