San Jose Man Arrested After Violent Road Rage Incidents
Steven Robles, 36, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a stolen firearm and brandishing a firearm.

SAN JOSE, CA — San Jose police arrested a man this week who is suspected of two instances of violent road rage.
San Jose resident Steven Robles, 36, was also accused of possessing a stolen firearm in his residence, which was allegedly found during a search after his arrest in the city of San Jose by members of the San Jose Police Department's San Jose Police Department Assaults Unit and Covert Response Unit.
He was accused of causing another vehicle to drive into oncoming traffic on Feb. 27 near North Bascom Avenue and West San Carlos Street. Robles allegedly almost hit the other vehicle when merging, causing the other driver to honk their horn. Robles then allegedly pointed a firearm at the driver and drove alongside the other vehicle, forcing it into the opposing lane.

On April 3, police again responded to a road rage assault near North First Street and East Brokaw Road. In that instance, the suspect backed his vehicle into another vehicle and hit it head on.
Robles was identified as a suspect in both incidents. He was arrested after police obtained a warrant. A search of his residence allegedly revealed several firearms, including one that was stolen, large capacity magazines and body armor.

He was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail on accusations of assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a stolen firearm and brandishing a firearm from a vehicle.
