San Jose Man Dies In Highway 85 Crash

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — A man who was killed in a traffic collision Monday night on state Highway 85 was identified Tuesday by the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office. Roberto Cibran-Villalobos, 69, of San Jose, was killed in the collision that was first reported at 9:53 p.m. Monday on the highway's southbound lanes just north of Great Oaks Boulevard and involved at least seven vehicles, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A Sig-alert was issued at 10:23 p.m. Monday as all southbound lanes of Highway 85 were blocked by the collision, according to the CHP.

The Sig-alert was canceled at 1 a.m. Tuesday and all lanes were reopened, CHP officials said.
