San Jose Man Struck By Car, Dies On Christmas Day
His death marks the 33rd homicide in San Jose this year, authorities say. The incident occurred just after 2 a.m. on Christmas Day.
SAN JOSE — A homicide investigation is underway in San Jose after a person was struck and killed by a car early Christmas Day, police said.
Officers responded at 2:16 a.m. to an alarm call in the 1200 block of E. Santa Clara Street.
A person hit by a car flagged down the officers. Officers found a man lying in the street and he was taken a hospital.

That's where he was pronounced dead. Police said they are investigating the motive and circumstances of the death and trying to identify suspects.
The homicide is the city's 33rd of 2019.

The man's name is not being released yet but will be by the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office when the examiner confirms the person's identity and tells his family.
