San Jose State Football Player Stabbed In City's Downtown Area: University
A stabbing early Sunday morning in downtown San Jose involved a San Jose State University football player, according to authorities.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA -- A stabbing early Sunday morning in downtown San Jose involved a San Jose State University football player, according to police and university officials.
San Jose police said an officer was flagged down at about 1 a.m. on May 21 and was told that someone was stabbed near the corner of Post and South First streets, a location that's three blocks from the university's campus.
Police have not identified the victim other than to say he is a man. University officials however, said SJSU football player Chad Miller was stabbed late Saturday night or early Sunday morning in downtown San Jose.

Miller is in a hospital and is expected to recover, according to university officials. He is from Vallejo, according to his Facebook page. The SJSU athletic department's website says that Miller is a junior safety and a communications major.
