Santa Clara County Fire Hosting 2 Public Workshops

Santa Clara County Fire is inviting the public to a workshop where you can provide input to help improve communications with the community.

SOUTH BAY, CA -- The Santa Clara County Fire Department is inviting the public to a pair of workshops where you can not only see the department's newest fire engine, but also provide input that could help improve communications between County Fire and the communities it serves.

The Santa Clara County Fire Department's strategic plan (http://www.sccfd.org/about-sccfd/key-reports-and-documents) serves as the guiding document for organizational decision making, and the no. 1 goal in the plan is to improve communications with customers.

To help with the process, and to get public feedback, two workshops are scheduled to be held:

Southern Location
o February 27, 5:30 p.m. – 8 pm.
o Home Church, 1711 Winchester Blvd, Campbell

Northern Location
o February 28, 9:30 a.m. - noon.
o The Garden House, Multi-Purpose Room, 400 University Ave, Los Altos

At the workshops, County Fire’s newest fire engine will be on display – a unique “Type 6” wildland fire engine designed to access the surrounding open space areas.
